Just like a siren
Laying simple grooves down over a scratch track
That I promised I would try to leave intact

It can remain one still in spirit

And sail on by–there’s really nothing to see here

Are impossibly unclear

Because there’s no sadder sight than a siren
Shutting up and getting used to the silence
Of this island
